Who we are
Pinamatic is a service owned and operated by Mediavine, Inc. (“Pinamatic,” “we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from publishers who use Pinamatic, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@pinamatic.com.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, used to sign in via magic link.
- Publisher integration data. The website domain you connect, your RSS feed URL, the Pinterest board you choose for publishing, and configuration such as daily pin budget and brand colors.
- Content from your site. We fetch and store metadata for posts published on the public RSS feed of your connected site — titles, summaries, URLs, publication dates, and featured images. We use this to score posts for pin potential and to generate pin variants.
- Pinterest data.Once you connect your Pinterest account via Pinterest’s OAuth flow, we receive an access token scoped to the boards you authorize. We do not store Pinterest account profile information beyond what is required to publish pins.
- Usage logs. Basic request logs (timestamps, IP addresses, user-agent strings) for security, abuse prevention, and debugging.
How we use information
- To operate Pinamatic and deliver the service to you.
- To generate pin images and copy from your post content using third-party AI services (see below).
- To submit pins to Pinterest on your behalf via Pinterest’s API, in accordance with the access you grant us.
- To communicate with you about your account, service issues, and material changes to the service.
- To improve Pinamatic, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Service providers
We share information with the following providers strictly to operate the service. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own marketing.
- Supabase — database and authentication.
- Vercel — application hosting and request logs.
- OpenAI — language model used to score posts and generate pin headlines and descriptions. Post titles and excerpts are sent to OpenAI for processing.
- Inngest — background job orchestration.
- Pinterest— when we publish pins on your behalf using the access you have granted via Pinterest’s API.
Pinterest data handling
Pinamatic uses Pinterest’s API only to publish pins to boards you have authorized. We do not request access to other Pinterest users’ profile information, follower lists, or analytics beyond what is needed to confirm pins were posted successfully. You can revoke Pinamatic’s access at any time from your Pinterest account settings; doing so disables publishing immediately.
Data retention
We retain account and integration data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion, we remove your account record, integration data, and generated pins within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain certain records.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@pinamatic.com. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under applicable law (including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority).
Cookies
We use a single httpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in after authentication. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising cookies on the Pinamatic application.
Children
Pinamatic is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email and reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
